STREATHAM SW RADIO

A united voice that aims to include and celebrate all the diverse communities in Streatham, providing the opportunity to learn about each other and share the common experiences of daily life in Streatham. The main focus would be the development of the artistic merits and cultures of the various activities and events in Streatham which had not previously been recognised before and also to give the first stepping stone to artistic individuals and groups who would not other wise have been able to gain radio coverage previously.

In addition it also has a dual role in to make the wider public and communities be more aware of what the area has to offer, but also developing new skills and broadcasting training for interested parties who would be keen to gain experience within the field of live radio broadcasting.

The vision is that Streatham SW Radio becomes an advocate for the town; celebrates the spirit of its people and offers inspiration for future transmissions. The radio station will interact with the community through a team of volunteers who will learn how to produce and record their own shows and broadcast them to the people of Streatham.
